Silence can be a path itself, filled with images, stories, maybe even poems.

I fell in love with wild places as a child during our many family camping trips across the USA and Canada in our green umbrella tent and a Plymouth sedan named Willie. Each summer we traveled for weeks at a time to experience the wonders of the Natural World.

My abstract oil and mixed media paintings have often developed from nature and silence and are inspired by many powerful landscapes during my travels, as well as the images and feelings that emerge during the meditative act of painting. Both give me a sense of renewal and a way to connect to my own creative spirit and imagination.

Colleen’s work will be on exhibit at Eclipse Salon for 6-weeks and you can also see her work at her semi-public art studio at Wedge Studios on Roberts Street.
